Mark's notes: I introduce the musical instruments as is and sometimes use the target language "Do you know how to play ~?" or "Do you play ~?"  BUT you should decide one or the other.  Switching back and forth is confusing for the students.

I use the marching band cards to play Go Fish.  The target language there is relative clauses: "Do you have a boy playing the sax?" or "Do you have some boys playing the sax?"

The trio marching band cards are also good for practicing "they" with younger children.  "What are they doing?"  "They are playing the drums." *You may want to leave out the Drum Major if you're going to do this
