Post Shorter words from long ones
I've always challenged my students to increase their vocabulary and somehow this always work out well with them especially if you need to compete with each other in order to go home. I normally choose a long word with loads of vowels and have the students create shorter ones out of that word....say at least 3 alphabets and will make it more difficult as it goes along. It helps the weaker ones as they are desperate to go home and this makes them more attentive.
