I'm very curious about where everyone is coming from, how you heard about MES-English.com and what you think, but first:

Where are you from and where are you teaching?

I'm from Oklahoma, USA and am living and teaching in Nagano, Japan

I am Cathi and live in Central New Jersey. I am a Speech and Language Clinician in a private school for Emotionally Disturbed and Multiply Handicapped children. I work with children from 5-12 years of age. I have worked there for the past 17 years (my only job) and found Mark's website somehow by accident. I found it quite interesting and can see how similar ESL teaching is to speech therapy. Many of the same areas of work including prepositions, pragmatics, categorization, vocabulary and so on. I have enjoyed this website of Mark's and look forward to hearing from many others that come from different walks of life.

I'm from Miami, Florida and now live in Okinawa, Japan. I teach at a local Elementary School (Kinder thru 6th grade). I love it! Before coming to Japan, I was teaching Jr. High and High School Math and Science. My husband is in the military and that's how we ended up in Japan!!!

I'm from New York and I'm working in Hokkaido. I found this site among a list of TEFL links. I'm very new to teaching children so I really appreciate the ideas.
