hI Mark! I'm Latifa. remember me ? My account was inactive for 2 years. Actually I was busy looking after my baby, working and doing different things. u know life is demanding. Anyway , I'm back ! I'm teaching beginners and elementary school students. I live in a small town in the north of Tunisia. Your site is a real treasure I use your worksheets and flashcards to teach new lexis because we don't translate to mother tongue when teaching English. Thanks a million.

Hi! I'm Becki from the US. I taught in Japan for almost 10 years (Nagoya, Wakayama, Hamamatsu, Kitakyushu), a year in Hangzhou, China, and a year in Bangkok, Thailand.

I found MES-English many years ago, but I just realized there was a forum. I really like the flashcards, especially the holidays.

Becki - Thanks for letting us know more about you and I'm glad you like the resources.

I wish I had more experience in other countries. I've only taught in Japan. While I have studied about teaching in other cultures it's just not the same.

Where are you teaching now?

Mark - It's fun to experience teaching in other countries, but Japan is my favorite. Teaching in China was completely different because the students aren't afraid of speaking or making mistakes. I had to change my style of teaching to accommodate their more outgoing approach to learning.

I've just left my most recent job in Japan. I'm taking some time off from teaching to work on my website. Like you, I want to share my materials with new teachers and give back to the community.

I'm Canadian and I teach in Gunma, Japan. I heard about this site from a friend years ago, but never joined the forums due to a hectic schedule. Once I returned to teaching in Japan, I decided to join. I figure the least I can do is offer some advice after all the work that was put into this site. There is no other site quite like this. Mark, your time and efforts are greatly appreciated. You've got everything an ESL teacher needs in one site. Thanks a million!
