Post Hello from Switzerland!!
Hello Loolee,

I also teach young learners and find it a wonderful
experience.
Thanks to Mark's flashcards and small game cards, my
kids are making very good, steady progress.
The parents are very pleased and surprised too.

Looking forward to hearing all your experiences
over in Poland.

I'm really glad your students have enjoyed the resources. It's always nice to hear comments like that.

Ok, onto English in Poland...

How big are you classes?

Do you teach at public schools or at a private language school?

Do kids start studying English in 1st grade? earlier? later?

Do you use a textbook? If yes, which one?

Which MES-E resources have you used and what did you do with them?

I could keep going but I'll leave you to those five questions for now. :D

heh
it's so much better to use colourful flashcards and pictures
during my trainee course I used them and my students were so eager to cooperate ( so do I ) :)

I always try to find something new for the next lesson:( a new game and so on.. i can send some riddles or scan nice sources if anyone needs:)

By the way I'm also from Poland:) :)

Post english lessons
Hi! I teach elementary students, specially in 3rd and 4th grades (8-9 year-old ones). Actually I'm working with GALAXY books (Oxford) two hours per week, then, two more hours I teach a project made by myself. Galaxy books are great for the children, very attractive, plenty of activities but for the projects I use Mark's flashcards which kids love them and have a lot of fun!! Anything you want to know about materials or how I develop the project lessons, just ask.
Ana

Post Answering your questions:)
English is obligatory from the first grade, but very often children start learning in the kindergarden. In younger classes 1-3rd grade there are 20- 23 children. The older classes have about 25 . 1-3 grade learn English twice a week. I have unfortunately our Polish books for English but I'm going to change that soon, I'm thinking of Bugs from Mcmillan. Oh, and I teach in public school, I use flashcards and materials that involve words tracing. Sorry for this late reply, but I don't have the Internet at home yet..
