Post game for feelings cards
My kid's really enjoy this game:
(I work with groups of up to 8 kids ages 7 - 15)

I put a stack of cards at the front of the class. One person comes up and chooses a card keeping it hidden from everyone. The other students then take turns asking "Are you cold? Are you angry?" etc.
If the student at the front does not have that card they reply "No, I am not cold." etc.
If some one asks about the card that the student at the front does have, he/she must reply "Yes, I am cold." and the person who guessed comes to the front.

This is great practice for small groups and the kids have fun.

Hello Ali!

I have another game. Students sit down on the floor forming a circle, you place 1 adjective flashcard in front of each student.1 student stands up outside the circle and starts walking around, he touches one classmate's head and says the adjective out loud. In that moment they start running in opposite directions (one to the left, the other one to the right)...the first student to get back to the starting point (where the card is) is the winner, and he gets to sit down while the other one stands up in the middle of the circle and makes a sentence using that word for example: I GET NERVOUS WHEN I HAVE AN EXAM.

This can be used not only with adjectives but any vocabulary and/or structure you want to practice and it´s a great TPR activity.

I hope you give it a try, like it and enjoy it too.

:D

Thanks Ali for the game suggestion. I tried it with my small tutoring group yesterday and it worked a treat.

Michael..

Thanks to Gaby for the game idea - I will try it!
I'm happy to hear the game work for you Michael; thanks for letting me know.
I like it because it's a really simple one and good for settling down.
