Post ---Town Games, Questions
I've used Big Town quite a bit. They are the only full set of game cards I've printed out.

Small Town and High Town, I've noticed have the pictures of the person on both sides of the card. What is the purpose of that? How does it change the way the card is used?

I imagine it is for better role playing, but I'd like to get some thoughts.

Here is what I do. I print the high town cards in a A4 paper. Then fold it back and laminate it...My students just love to do the role play .

Alice - I'm glad to hear the cards have been helpful

smy2brazil - I put the characters on the back mainly so that the other players will know whether the character is male or female. Then when they are playing a game, they'll know whether to ask "does he ...?" or "does she ...?"

However, as I used the cards, I also have them explain as much as they can about a characters appearance before we look at the information. I also might ask them some "Do you think ...?" questions. Like "What color do you think he likes?", etc. I feel like if you can see the characters it makes it a bit easier to guess for some students. You can also go on with the High Town cards and teach "I bet ..." For example
T: Is he tall or short?
    S1: I bet he's short.
    S2: I bet he's tall.

T: Does he have a girlfriend?
    S1: I bet he does.
S2: Me, too. I bet he does. He's handsome.

With a little information such as a picture we can make an assumption.

Anyway, that's some of the reasoning behind.
