Post Newcomers to Canada
Hi all:
I've been asked to teach a two week ESL class to children of one of the refugee families our group is working with. I have been teaching the parents but as I have experience with teaching kids overseas they asked if I could do this class. I've used MES a lot over the years but not for some time now. My question is : For a ten day , 1 hour class, what would you focus on? I'm thinking themed based ie My Family, daily routines, body, clothes etc. I have no idea their level but they are ages 7-10. I want it to be fun and have movement as this is all a new experience for them. Any ideas?

I suppose that you need to find out their level first ,but basic speech which you've mentioned is important for sure.
