I need some videos or slides to be used in a a seminar . This seminar will be about the importance and necessity of learning a second language. It will be in our school conference room for students,teachers,headmasters maybe for local directors of our city. I want to prepare something enjoyable and comic. I want them to smile and enjoy while I am lecturing. I need your help. Thanks in advance |

Mona - That sounds like fun, but it also seems really open ended, "the importance and necessity of learning a second language". What are some of the ideas or points you want to incorporate into the presentation? What is the importance of learning a foreign language for your group? What age are the students and how long is the presentation? Knowing some of that will help us to give you some suggestions. |

Hi Mona The Barking Mouse is a good story to tell. I think you can find it on youtube. Here is how one teacher used it for Parents' night: http://susangrosstprs.com/articles/PARENTNIGHTSTORY.pdf and the illustrations http://susangrosstprs.com/articles/cat_story_pix.pdf this video isn't about second languages, but delivers a convincing message on the dangers of rote memorization: Do Flowers Fly. You can find this on youtube, too. |
