Post What types of fonts/typefaces are appropriate for beginners?
My beginners sometimes get confused when they read passages in different fonts. They may come across a capital I that looks like a lowercase L or they may get confused when they see an enclosed tail of a lowercase G.

What types of fonts/typefaces are appropriate to teach reading and writing to beginner ESL/EFL students?

When I prepare any materials I always try to use one of the fonts with a printed letter Aa and Gg ( Comic Sans & Century Gothic on windows, Felt Marker on Mac ).

I also use Comic Sans, but you can also search out some print fonts on free font sites.

There's a nice print font here:

just scroll down below the worksheet makers options and you'll see the font file.

There's a nice tracing font I use here

Both are great for making your own worksheets. Once installed, you should be able to use them.

Build up! Be positive! Teach hard!
