Who's doing what?
You can follow my progress on my blog.
I'm behind as usual but it's going to be the scariest year ever for sure |

Well, if you were wondering why nothing gets done around this place in October. here's why.
I'm doing a medieval theme for this year's party and I spent last weekend making swords and a castle wall.
here are the swords
and painted
The castle wall took two days ...
Here are all the pieces laid out on my back deck.
Once they were all out I marked all the stone lines
and painted ...
Here they are loosely put together on my deck. I was lucky is wasn't windy ...
This weeknd it's back to work on the accessories. I'm going to make some torches and chains to put on the walls ... |

Here's a bit more ...
I finished the shield, which finishes the knights costume
It's made out of two pieces of styrofoam. A thin cross piece glued on top and the main part is a thicker piece, like what I used for the castle walls.
Here it the full costume.
This is the forward-attack picture:
This is the take-cover-babies-are-attacking-from-all-sides picture:
I also made a few torches to go on my castle wall.
Those were not made out of styrofoam |

Wow! Your Halloween decorations look great. Are you for hire? |
Unfortunately, no. I can hardly get my own decorations done
I will sell you a castle wall and some torches in November. |
