Could have, should have, would have (New Card Game idea)
Mark. I have a really good idea for a new card game that would fall somewhere between bigtown and eigomon. I am going to work out the system and make a few prototype cards.
What should I do, just put the game instructions and idea here or message you?

Welcome back!
Whatever you think would work best. If you need to add some files or something to download, then it would be best to email me those and I could add them somewhere on the server.
Sounds exciting and very useful. You are certainly building the anticipation on this end

Kard-Fu: Apprentice
The game works like Rock, Scissors, Paper.
Each card has:
An attack: Kick, Punch, or Grapple (Grab)
Kick beats Punch
Punch beats Grapple
Grapple beats Kick
A speed: A number (1-10) indicating speed of attack. Highest number wins tiebreaker in case of same attack.
A Kard-Fu style: Lion, Lizard, Snake, Gorilla, Hippo (for the purpose of winning matches) and corresponding border color.
A proverb (for translation practice and wisdom)
A picture (to make the cards cool and fun)
Mechanics:
Each player has a deck of 10 cards (this can be increased in the future).
Each player draws 5 cards for his hand.
Each player chooses one card and plays it at the same time.
The winner puts his own card to the side face up. The loser puts his card at the bottom of his deck.
Each player draws a new card and the game continues.
When a player has three of the same three or different attacks AND those cards are either all of the same style or each a different style, he wins the match. (for example, three punches, all monkey style, wins. A punch, kick, and grab, all lion style, wins. Three kicks, each one a different style, wins. etc.)
Grammar and Speaking:
The card's numbers are added together and if the number is even, player one must speak, if the number is odd, player two must speak.
"I should have kicked. If I had kicked, I would have won."
"I shouldn't have punched. If I had grappled, I would have won."
"It's a good thing I kicked. If I had not kicked, I would not have won."
"You should have kicked. You would have won if you had not punched."
"You were faster than me. I would have won if my number had been higher."
There can also be a Kard-Fu master who supervises the match (to group in 3s). The master will make observations and ask apprentice players questions (again, according to even or odd)
"Congratulations, you won with a kick. What could he have done to defeat your kick?"
"He could have grappled me. If he had grappled, he would have won."
"Oh, I'm sorry, you lost. What could you have done differently?"
"I could have played a card with a higher number."
I sent Mark a prototype card by email. I will try to make 11 more so there is a playable set.
