I just printed off one of the mini books, the Gingerbread Man. This is such a find ,thankyou. I have bought 2 large colourful gingerbred people for my Summer camp and have been looking for material to use them with.
Last year in my classes the kids made and decorated gingerbread men and we listened to the story. The book is great for past tense verbs for the oldies.
My morning lesson plan has just written itself thank to you. I have only just started sifting through your material.

Hans, they seems to be Word .doc files. Do you have an application on your MAC that's compatible with Microsoft Word?

Well, I have 2 applications that can read .doc files , Text Edit and Pages (both standard on the iMac) but when I open a file (for example "ugly_duckling.doc") there is nothing, just 2 empty pages.
I guess it has to do with the way the graphics are "attached" to the file, because a regular .doc text file doesn't give me any problems and the "MiniBookInstructions.doc" files was OK too, but that was probably because it included only one picture.

I've tried to find something that can import or convert .doc files for the Mac, but I can't find anything (reliable)
There are plenty of download sites on the internet, but a lot of them look very suspicious to me (call me old fashioned) so I was hoping that there was somebody here who could point me in the right direction...

PS couldn't find anything usable at the Apple site either...

Have you tried to download the free openoffice. I wonder if that would work as they are word documents.
