I teach at a private school in China.
Average class size at this school is 12.
Previously, I was at a school in which the average class size was about 6.

 Re: Class sizes
I teach in a public middle school in a small town in Shaanxi province, China. Class size varies from 50-65 students per class.

 Re: Class sizes
I think in Japan (here) once the class gets to over 35, 36 they think about diving in to 2 classes. But in my experience it does depend on the school and the age (in the same town I have found some schools that divide and some that don't (for the same number)
I used to teach in a small town where 25 was high but now in my toen is closer to 33?
