The games are great, but one question though.
I may sound pretty stupid but, how do you play the quizz ? what do we have to do?

Karineuh,

Here's how the quiz works.

Select a letter on the page that shows the alphabet.

A new page will come up with a series of Mark's Rembrandt like drawings (just teasing Mark  )

First click the letter at the top of the page, it will make the phonics sound.

Then click on the pictures. The students are supposed to be listening for the initial/first sound of the word.

If the the initial sound is the same as the phonics sound of the letter you are doing then you click the circle on the left. A green symbol will appear. If the sound is not the same you click the "X" and it turns red.

After you have done all the pictures, you click on "check" it will tell how many you got right.

If you only got 4/6 then you can click on "fix" and go back and make some changes to try and get six out of 6.

Does that make sense?

I'm trying my hand at making some real 'game' type games for the fun Fonix online games.

Here's the first.

I only have a version for Book1 right now, but others are soon to follow.

There are two versions:

easy: Read the word. Load the gun. (timer starts) Shoot the target.

hard: Load the gun. (timer starts) The word will apear and students read the word and shoot the target.

Mark I WANT TO THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THESE GAMES/QUIZZES.

My kids, especailly the 2nd graders love them.

When I do the quiz on the big monitor their eyes are glued to the screen and their little ears are straining to hear the sounds.

When I used to just do it verbally and using only using the book it was hard to get all of their attention at once but now........well to put it simply
It's awesome! :D

I hope the games are still working out well for you.

I've gotten back to work on this section and have a new game, Treasure Chest:

and a new, student-friendly, menu on the games page

alphabet games

3 letter words and mid vowels

I have two more ideas for new game styles. I'm going to work on those and I should have some games for book 2 and book 3 pretty soon.
